Estate Planning during a Pandemic

Posted on December 05, 2020 in News

Reposted from 4/30/20 “Prepare for the worst. Hope for the best.” How many times have we heard that? Unfortunately, a crisis is often what motivates people to think about the need for an estate plan when they have otherwise been reluctant to do so. Over the past few weeks, we have heard from so many who are wondering about a number of issues: Is my current estate plan adequate? Do I need a trust? What’s the difference between a will and a living will? Do I need an advance medical directive when I have a power of attorney? While it is understandable that you are worried, estate planning does not have to be an overwhelming or depressing undertaking. Kim Huguley is available via phone or teleconferencing to answer your questions and, if necessary, to help develop a personalized plan for you that addresses your concerns and needs. And, when it’s time to execute your estate documents, we have options for getting that done in a safe way while practicing social-distancing measures. If you have questions or concerns about your estate planning needs, give us a call to schedule your consultation with Kim. In the meantime, stay safe and healthy. And here’s to hoping for the best!
