Kathy has spent many years developing an expertise in helping attorneys handle divorce and domestic relations issues and estate planning matters, as well as cases involving personal injury, traffic violations, business issues, and general civil and criminal litigation. Kathy began her career as a legal assistant in March 2004 and received her paralegal certification from Northern Virginia Community College in 2011. Prior to joining Taylor Huguley Powers PLLC, Kathy worked for a prominent Fairfax County attorney Bill Schmidt, where she remained until 2017, and then worked for The Susan Hicks Group. Kathy is a member of the Paralegal Section of the Fairfax Bar Association and the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association
Kathy resides in Prince William County with her husband and two sons. She is an avid fan of Auburn football and enjoys going to the beach, hiking in the mountains, and spending time with her friends and family.
